Minerals like Sodium (Na), Potassium (K), Chloride (Cl), Bicarbonate (HCO3) have different essential functions in poultry and other animals. These form an essential part of all biological functions in them. This is done by adding electrolytes into water or the food the animals consume. It helps the animals in regulation of genes, in enzyme systems, keeps their osmotic balance, in their detoxification systems and acid base balance and in their bone metabolism.
