A bristle brush is a type of brush that is made of an arrangement of short spiky bristles A bristle brush is a type of brush that is made of an arrangement of short spiky bristles made from nylon, plastic, or animal fur. Bristle brushes utilized for personal use like hair brushes and makeup brushes have softer bristles so that the skin of the person using these brushes is protected and safe. The same is the case for brushes used for grooming animals however, these brushes can have an increased number of bristles or thicker bristles to better groom the animals thick fur. Home care and other use brushes generally have hard bristles. Synthetic bristle brushes are widely accepted across all regions.

Use of brushes have increased in the last decade due to an increase in trends that support looking presentable and well groomed. There is also an increasing awareness regarding of compatibility of certain products with certain types of skin, hair types, hair texture, and more. Due to this increase in awareness, consumers are now choosing products that have specific properties that are beneficial to their particular needs.
