Summary
Why was the report written? In order to provide a depth of insight into ICT vendors’ and service providers’ potential customers. What is the current market landscape and what is changing? Belgian enterprises have been a little conservative with regards to their ICT investments, with cost cutting high on their agendas. However, with an encouraging economic forecast, the number of Belgian enterprises who intend to slightly increase or maintain their ICT budget is likely to witness an upward trend in 2013. What are the key drivers behind recent market changes? Increased adoption of SaaS and virtualization technology is going to drive the Belgian IT market as enterprises are looking to reduce their IT expenses and improve the flexibility of their operations. What makes this report unique and essential to read? Kable Global ICT Intelligence has invested significant resources in order to interview CIOs and IT managers about their ICT Budgets. Very few IT analyst houses will have interviewed 50+ ICT decision makers in Belgium market in H2 2012.
Reasons To Buy
Impacted by ongoing debt crisis and Euro zone cuts, Enterprise ICT spending is anticipated to witness a slow growth. In 2013, Belgian enterprises are most likely to reduce their hardware and communication expenditure nominally (by x%) but will slightly increase their spending on software and services. The proportion of the budget invested in datacenters for vertical sectors such as financial markets, government, insurance, education, utilities, and healthcare will remain flat in 2013 in comparison to 2012. In 2013, there is a minor reduction in the budget allocated to third party providers such as technology vendors, telcos, and system integrators, compared to 2012. SMEs are planning to reduce their investment in end-user computing, networks, and service desks in 2013, whereas for large enterprises the proportion of the ICT budget allocated to these areas will be flat.
