About Head Mounted Displays

HMD (head mounted displays) comprise small displays with lenses and semi-transparent mirrors embedded in them, which makes them look like a pair of eyeglasses. They
are also sometimes referred to as “smart glasses.” A head-mounted display consists of an image source, collimating optics, and a mechanism to mount the device on the
head. The device is wearable, and projects images and information relative to the user's line of sight in front of the user.

Technavio's analysts forecast the global head mounted display market to grow at a CAGR of 48.95% over the period 2014-2019.
